BBQ at The Sign Group™: Beer, Bean Bags, and Blurry Photos

Here at The Sign Group™, we’re a close-knit team of creative noggins and sign-making aficionados, who decided it was about time to take a break from our busy schedules and have a little fun. Planned for the week after the unexpected September heatwave we knew we were taking a risk and the weather looked bleak in comparison. Luckily we managed to get the sunshine to join us that afternoon as we fired up the barbie (the opposite of the almost guaranteed British weather).

After a good ol’ bit of scran and beers in hand, it was time to start a healthy bit of competition. Everyone was to stand in a line and throw a beanbag into a set of circles drawn on the car park floor (no expenses spared). A simple activity in theory, in practice… not so much. Beanbags flew through the air, some making their way over the circles and into the yonder, others landing exactly where they were supposed to and for an unlucky few they landed straight in what some may call a ‘strategically’ placed puddle.

The usual offenders unsurprisingly won the beanbag throwing, with Ruby being a new addition to the jammy buggers club (we’ll be keeping an eye on her in the future).

Even our diva photographer got the afternoon off, Grey took the reins of the camera to document all the fun being had, however, the moments captured are in a lovely blur… beer goggles?

All in all The Sign Group™ team had a well-deserved chilled afternoon in the sunshine with burgers, bevs and a predictable showing up by the jammy buggers club. It served as a nice reminder that even in the midst of busy schedules and deadlines, it's essential to take time to unwind and connect with each other away from the day-to-day.
