A Look Back At 2023 and Beyond
It's been a reet busy year, as always, here at The Sign Group. We've teamed up with CarbonQuota to offset our Hippo Carbon Footprint – tha can read more about that in a previous blog.
We've put together a marketing team, the ones behind what tha's reading now. They're churning out top-notch content on our socials and in industry mags like A1 Retail and Retail Focus. They also document all the graft in our workshop and the behind-the-scenes shenanigans and send out those top notch emails you receive (if you don't, subscribe here).
This year, we dipped our toes in the Visual Merchandising and Display Show for the first time. It were a proper all-hands-on-deck operation. We carted ourselves down to the big smoke, and our sales team had a good natter about who we are and what we do. The snaps on the righthand side give you a gander at the shows from the last 11 years. It's fair to say, we've come a long way.
Like all companies, we've seen some faces leave – said bon voyage to 7 team members. But, we've also said a warm welcome to 10 new members, chuffed to 'ave 'em as part of our signage family in the new year. We've had a reshuffle in the departments too, with 5 team members taking on new roles. Keeps the creative thinking and productivity flowing.
Summer brought us a visit from Mr Whippy – a treat for everyone. Then, late summer, we threw a BBQ with a bit of questionable bean bag throwing...
Software can be a bit of a muddle, but this year, we've shifted to new HR and Accounting software. We're sure it'll make the dull stuff smoother, letting us focus on what really matters.
Last but not least, we've only gone and acquired an LED Neon Business. It's a bit of a teaser for now, but keep your eyes peeled for more details in the New Year!
That's the lot from us for now. It's been a reet busy year with plenty of positive changes to carry into 2024 🎉
